A note to my best friend in high school, Jim...
Hi Jim, Mark told me you looking for me... Well I have been looking for you forever... ever since I heard you were living on lambert in la habra many years ago now... all you have to do to find me is to google me... I am very easy to find... I am very glad to hear your doing well, with a new wife... I wondered what happened to my best friend in high school... I saw you only once since you left high school to join the army... you were living right by Monte Vista and you showed me your harley, I guess you still have it??? Sounds like you have traveled the world, good for u Jim!!! I can remember even in high school it was your dream to one day travel to Hong Kong and Thailand ... I don't know how much Mark told you about me ... It was always a dream of mine to go to Botswana, Africa after my dad moved there to join the peace corp and stayed and made his life there... In feb. 2002 I got to go and fulfill my dream... I had already been diagnosed ALS and confined to my electric wheelchair...So I made the trip to Africa in my wheelchair... my dad and sister Babette came here to US to fly with me to Africa... six months later I amazingly flew back by myself... Botswana is a very primitive country... and the village of Maun where my dad lived was in the bush... the whole country never saw the likes of me before or since, with my powered wheelchair... Jim, I have lived a full life... I'm very happy... for a person who was supposed to have been dead by now... I have 2 grown children, who are doing well, Steven and Shellee... Steve just graduated from UCI with a BS in computer science... he is going to create video games... Shellee works as a medical assistant, in a busy pediatrics office... I am very proud of them, 2 fine young adults... as a chef i was able to live in many fine places, Mammoth, Maui, Catalina, Kings canyon, San Jose, Tacoma WA, Huntington Beach... What do you do Jim???
